One of my favourite people made a person! (well, her husband helped). Meet Molly and Brent's first-born (and hard-to-top in sweetness), Nora. Nora's eight months old!...wow, where did that time go? Molly (yes, Molly Lux of Lux Events) asked for a photo shoot without any props or backdrops and I love the feel of this natural family-focused shoot all wrapped up in their own home. Life is good. hf
Aly's got grit! Just days out of back surgery, she didn't waste her recovering time with ...well, recovering. She decided to plan her entire wedding while flat on her back. Aly, Kyle and Camdyn will become a family this fall. I'm just so excited to see them all again!
Mark Turner , mastermind behind Turner Studios is a familiar face in the music scene in Saskatchewan (and Canada and probably the world). He's been responsible for bringing world class talent to town and leading the crusade to save the historical Third Avenue Church. A couple of years ago I photographed him with Danika Lorèn (see her photos here) and this year he introduced me to Spencer McKnight, another formidable talent in the Saskatchewan classical music scene. Heading to Nationals soon, Spencer will be performing at a fundraising event this weekend (see details on the poster below).
The most recent edition of the Saskatoon Fine Lifestyles Magazine contains much of my work. It is the annual "Best of the Best" issue and many of my existing clients ask that I shoot their photos for the publication. I was pretty thrilled when the publishers decided to feature Heather Fritz Photography in the "Best of" section (I promise you, no palms were greased ). It probably helps that the feature was written by Women of Distinction Award winner and renowned author, Karin Melberg Schwier-thanks Karin! So, Saskatchewan, thank you for all the support, all the great times, all the cool photos and all of your on-going support.
You think this is the best we can do?...wait until you see what we have planned for upcoming year!

Really, am I one year behind in blog posts?...well, yeah but that's not actually why I've waited until now to post Ashley and Jared's exquisite open-air wedding day. I held off blogging Ashley and Jared's wedding because some of the publications that are interested in publishing it have rules about weddings that have been previously blogged so then I decided to wait until their anniversary to post. It's not exactly their anniversary today-but close enough.
Ashley and I actually met about her wedding photos before she got engaged! (really cool, just saying) Once Jared proposed, we brought in the crème de la crème to finish the day off. Molly Lux from Lux Events didn't miss a beat in the hottest most humid day of the year (and 7 months pregnant at that) and Jenn from Jennifer Kirk Photography in Vancouver was recruited to finish the team off. On a hill overlooking Blackstrap Lake, Ashley and Jared kicked off their forever-after in style. Thanks for inviting me in!
REAL LIVE FLASH MOB surprise for the bride and groom!
